SCOPE@Aditi is our Student Community Outreach Programme that fosters empathy, inclusion, and active citizenship through engagement with peers from diverse backgrounds. Through this initiative, we encourage the students to form meaningful connections through collaborative projects and grow into compassionate, socially conscious individuals.
In a rewarding partnership with Makkala Jagriti, our students have been working alongside a government school in Yelahanka to create a space for shared learning and mutual growth.
Over the past few months, students from Grades 4 to 7 have enjoyed building friendships with their peers through a range of engaging activities. From traditional board games like Chouka Bara and Bramha Gopura to dynamic sports like standing Kho-Kho, these interactions have taught our students to strategise, collaborate, and adapt in new ways. Our Grade 7 students further embraced their roles as leaders by conducting basic computing sessions. These moments of mentorship helped them strengthen their own technical understanding while nurturing essential life skills such as patience, empathy, and cross-cultural communication.
Beyond student interactions, this partnership has fostered a vibrant exchange among educators. We welcomed a team of 20 educators from Makkala Jagriti to the MAIS campus, where they explored our classrooms and learning displays. A smaller team participated in a collaborative workshop titled “Board Games in Education,” where they joined our elementary school faculty to explore how play can be used as a powerful pedagogical tool. The visiting team left with fresh ideas for purposeful classroom design, while our teachers gained new perspectives from their dedicated peers.
We are inspired by the enthusiasm and maturity our students have shown throughout this journey. We look forward to continuing this partnership and making a positive, lasting difference in our community.
