Rajyotsava Day on November 1st is a special day for everyone in Karnataka. It is the day the state was named as Karnataka.

Our school celebrated the spirit of Rajyotsava with variety of programmes through the month of November. There was a festive mood everywhere in the school. The celebrations started off on November 2nd when we had a well-known Kannada author, Mrs. Geetha Prasad, narrate interesting stories to the students of Std. 03 and 04.

On November 3rd, Mr. Prahlad Acharya an international shadow artist, magician, and renowned ventriloquist entertained the students of Elementary School with his breath-taking talent. Mr. Acharya and his team used interesting stories from the ‘Panchatantra’ to engage with the students using hand shadows. They also taught a few simple shadow hand gestures to our students. Mr. Acharya, also had a puppet, Mr. Kitti, who entertained the audience with his witty conversation.

The celebrations concluded on November 9th. All the students dressed up in traditional wear. Even the teachers dressed up for the celebration.

Students from Std. 01 to 07 rendered beautiful Kannada songs, accompanied by Ms. Sampada, Mr. Umesh, Mr. Madhu and Mr. Sumith.

The songs were selected from the poetry collection of great poets. These songs represented the rich cultural heritage and integrity of Karnataka. This programme concluded with the singing of the “Nadageete”, the state anthem, by the staff and faculty of Aditi. The students had a splendid time watching and being a part of this wonderful and memorable programme.
