The annual High School and Plus Two production took place on the 1st and 2nd of December, 2022 at Alliance Francaise de Bangalore. This year’s production was an adaptation of George Orwell’s 1945 classic, Animal Farm, scripted by Peter Hall and directed by Dr. Anne Sheela Peter.
The play tells a tale of farm animals who seize power over their human master and work
together to create a better life for themselves by establishing a new system whilst battling the
vice of corruption that overtakes the pigs who rise to power.
After two rounds of auditions and nearly five months of practice the cast was brimming with
excitement for the big day. The perfectly crafted set with its ambient lighting, the angelic voices of the choir and the breath-taking dance performances really helped the actors bring Orwell’s story to life. A deeply impacted audience greeted the actors with a standing ovation and an applause that will echo in their hearts to this day.
