The remote learning programme in Elementary School began in June 2020. The remote learning sessions include English Language Arts, Kannada, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies courses for each grade. The curriculum is adjusted according to requirements of a remote learning programme. The Creative Arts, PSE , Technology and PE are also incorporated into the programme. In Elementary School, we have always tried to maintain a 60:40 academic: co-curricular programmes ratio and we have continued to do that with our online classes.

The school day starts at 8:00 am with Class Teacher Time. Students and teachers look forward to this unstructured time to chat, celebrate birthdays, and share information about the day ahead.

From 8:15 am to 12:15 pm students are engaged in a variety of activities. Each school day is planned to ensure balanced learning. There are sufficient breaks plugged in to ensure students get a break from the screen as well as have enough time to transition to their next lesson. Wednesday is a mid-week break for students in Stds 1 and 2. It is a shorter day for the rest of the classes.

Our video conferencing platform is Zoom. The Learning Management System we use is Showbie.

In addition to the regular Math classes, we continue to use Mindspark, a personalized learning software.

To supplement our Reading programme, we have introduced Scholastic Literacy Pro – a digital reading programme.
