MAIS is committed to developing an environment that nurtures the learning differences of every child. We believe that every individual has his or her unique learning style.
The Learning Support Department offers appropriate and student-centred instruction for students Prep through Grade 12 with learning needs. Following a teacher referral there is a period of observation and evaluation by the school psychologist. The results are shared with the parents and a programme suitable for the student is then recommended. These range from individualized assistance, small–group instruction to in-class support. Review at regular intervals ensures that the student is receiving the appropriate intervention and support for his or her learning need.
