On 15th August 2019, we celebrated India’s 73rd Independence Day. Students were encouraged to come to school in traditional Indian clothes, and it was a colourful gathering that greeted us on the school grounds in the morning. After the flag hoisting and the singing of the national anthem, we were treated to a variety of performances from across the school. These included a violin recital, classical dance performances and a medley of patriotic songs by the Indian Music choir.
After this, students were engaged in various activities with their sections, such as quizzes, playing traditional games, tricolour artwork and cooking. It was a fitting celebration to honour the diversity and beauty of our nation.
